Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tomorrow is Andy's birthday and it is amazing how much you life can change in a year (for the better I must say). He has worked very hard the last 4 years (well, 8 with med-school) and is so excited to get back to Denver and start his new job.

He is such a great dad and Mason loves his daddy sooooooo much!

Happy Birthday! We love you!!!!

Kitchen Helper

Mason crawled over and joined me in the kitchen this morning so I gave him some spoons and bowls to bang on. He like to bang on the floor more than than the bowls.

Walker

We got Mason a new walker to push around and he figured it out in no time. He has been pushing it all over the living room with only the occasional fall.

He is doing this new thing where he is biting his lip-it is pretty funny!

Such a big boy!

Taking a little rest on my knees.

Eating off the floor

No, we don't typically feed our child off the floor! However, after dinner Mason crawled back over under his seat and started eating all the stuff he had dropped. He kept looking at me like he knew he was being a stinker but it was just too funny to stop him. Guess he was still hungry?!?!

caught in the act

Hi Mom

This ones shows how he is starting to get hair-not much, but it is a start!

The Stats

Mason had his 9 month appointment and he continues to grow with the best of em!
Here are his stats:
height: 29" (71%)
weight 23.5 oz (84.5%)
head 46 cm (67%)

While at the appointment we also learned that he has ANOTHER ear infection (poor guy). He is such a trooper and doesn't always show when he is feeling cruddy-plus it is hard to tell fussiness of not feeling with fussiness of teething. His doc wants him to see the ENT about the possibility of getting tubes (he is following in his mom's footsteps there). This time he did the shot of antibiotics to spare him the toture of mom and dad holding him down and shoving medicine in the back of his throat, only then to have him throw it back up from being so worked up. Fingers crossed this works better for us!

We also learned how wiggly he is getting and how much he hates having to sit still. Now that he can move that is ALL he wants to do. He was being passed back and forth between mom and dad the whole time because he could not contain himself and he gets very heavy very quickly. Luckily he sat still just long enough to get exaimned. We are curious what our next eating out experience is going to be like. :-)

UH OH

Mason is giving us a run for our money now that he can move. He crawled over to the stairs and pulled himself right up! He stood there for a while trying to figure out how he was going to get up the staris. Especailly after Abby went upstairs and sat on the landing taunting him. Won't be long now..........

This is something new...........

Look at me Mommy!

He loves his kitties!

Where did she go and how can I get up there?

New Toy

In his attempts to crawl around Mason discovered the door stop and realized it makes a pretty fun noise! Who needs toys when you have a door stop?

Branching Out

Mason has finally learned how to move out of the living room and is realizing it is hard to crawl on the wood floor.

Play Table

Now that Mason is moving and pulling himself up on EVERYTHING, he is also walking around his play table all by himself. Last night he went around 5 times before he decided he needed to move on to something else (he showed us he was ready to move on by falling down and then crying).

Tush in the Air

I went to wake up Mason on Thursday morning to find his little tush up in the air. Of course I immediately ran downstairs to grab the camera before he woke up or moved. It is funny what babies find comfortable. :-)

Maybe he was dreaming of crawling?!?!

We FINALLY have forward movement

Well, after a month of only crawling backwards, we FINALLY have forward movement! It wasn't a lot of crawling, but I think now that he realizes what he can do he is going to be all over the place. From the looks of things the cats had better watch out!

Nice work buddy!

Clap, Clap, Clap my Hands

Another new trick!

Mason amazes us daily with what he can do. One morning when he was having his bottle all of the sudden he grabbed it and didn't seem to need my help anymore (mixed emotions there). I of course ran for the camera as fast as I could to documents this new said trick. He doesn't do it everytime (depending on how tired he is) but he is getting pretty good!

Such a big boy!

It wasn't a fluke, he did it more than once.

So good I can even do it with one hand!

Laughing at Lilly

Mason scooted himself over to Lilly's toy tonight which of course got Lilly's attention. Mason found Lilly VERY funny.......the giggles went on for about 5 minutes.
