Golf is Funny

Who knew golf could be so funny?

Golf Cart

Mason and I went swimming last weekend and after we were done we met his Grandpas, Daddy and Uncle Cliff at the turn. He climbed right in the cart and started driving. What can I say, the kid LOVES steering wheels. Daddy just hopes he likes playing golf as much as he likes driving the cart.

Beaver Creek

We went to the mountains this past weekend for some relaxation and to escape the nasty heat in Denver. We had a great weekend and can't wait to go back.

Friday morning Andy and I took Mason on a beautiful hike. Kinda brutal at the beginning (seeing at we walked up the ski slope to the trail) but once we reached the trail it was all downhill from there. Not to mention that is was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky!

After our hike Mason found a sandbox to play in. The kid loves to dig and throw things. He is ALL boy!

After the sand we took a break in the shade and Mason found some chairs to climb on. He was using the foot stool as a slide. The kid is fearless.

Mason and Daddy relaxing

Wonder what he is thinking here?!?!

He also did a lot of swimming while we were there. He had a lot of fun sitting on the top step in the "kid's hot tub" and splashing around.

We also discovered that Mason REALLY likes tomatoes! Picked them up off the plate and started chowing down!

I wish I had gotten a picture of his shirt. It said "Not Listening" and the little boy has his hands over his ears. Far too fitting for Mason!

DELICIOUS!

Waving

Hiking

We took Mason on a hike in Golden Gate Canyon last Friday and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Andy did all the hard work of carrying the not so little guy 2 miles uphill. We are realizing we didn't take advantage of all Colorado had to offer when we lived here before so we are determined to make the most of this beautiful state now that we are back!

A New Place to Play

Mason has been climbing all over EVERYTHING and yesterday he discovered how to climb into his toy box. He sat in there and played for a long time which was very entertaining for us. He still needs to work on exiting said toy box without falling and banging his head on the floor.

Here is is trying to climb out which resulted in a head bang on the floor and crying.

Obviously didn't learn his lesson and climbed right back in.

I am pretty funny mom!

Testing the limits by standing and walking around his toy box.

Happy 4th of July

Well in true Colorado fashion the weather did not cooperate as we would have hoped on the 4th of July but we still made the trip up to Genesee to watch the parade and games. Next year Mason will have his wagon all decorated and ready to participate in the parade with all the other kiddos!

Not wanting to give mommy his usual adorable smile.........

even when he is being a stinker he is adorable

watching the parade on daddy's shoulders up until he started pulling off his hat and sunglasses

taking a break to pet Kenzie

Mason loved the fire trucks!

an attempt at a family picture but Mason was more interested in Kenzie

getting an up-close look at the fire trucks

eating a Rice Krispy Treat on Uncle David's shoulders......he did minimal damage to his hair and neck

DELICIOUS

running around the tennis courts.........literally running!

next year he is going to be ready for all the games

back in the wagon to head home

Water Baby

We took Mason to the pool this week and I think we definitely have a water baby on our hands. I could not get him changed and into the water fast enough. He escaped a few times and tried to walk right in the pool. This kid is going to need swim lessons pronto!

As you will notice from many of the pictures his favorite thing to do in the pool is SPLASH!

This baby pool in the perfect depth for him because he can walk around the whole thing and splash away or sit down near the shallower end. He fell and went under a few times but I just picked him right up and he blinked a few times and kept on splashing.

taking a break......for about 2 seconds
