Anesthesia Picnic

We went to a picnic for Andy's work this weekend and it was really nice to meet the other partners and their families. Andy and I got to play in a golf outing in the morning then we picked up Mason and headed over to Applewood Park for the picnic. The park had a great playground that Mason loved!

So excited to go down the slide!

wheeeeeeeeee

The park had this wall of things that made different noises. Noises are right up this kids alley!

Which one to pick...........too many choices!

He also did a little swinging.

He was most excited to go on the Merry-Go-Round but we had to wait for the big kids to get off first.

Trying really hard to keep his balance...........

This experience was a short one. Shortly after this picture he fell down and the metal was REALLY HOT and OH LORDY did he come unglued. It took a good 10 minutes of screaming to calm the poor boy down. Needless to say we didn't go on the Merry-Go-Round again. Maybe we will try it again on a cooler day!

Lazy Morning

Mason is a lot like his Daddy and one of their similarities is being slow to wake up in the morning. This day he was laying on the floor watching Curious George. When he saw me get the camera he flipped around and flashed me that adorable Mason smile! :-)

Zoo

Mason took his first trip to the Denver Zoo last week. His attention span has improved since the last time we went to the zoo in Madison and he did a better job following and pointing at the animals. We bought a zoo membership so I am sure we will be making many fun visits to the zoo.

Checking out the gorillas

Little stinker trying to climb up the ledge.

Going for a ride on the train...........

pretty excited............

here we go!

Then it was on the the carousel............

holding on tight...........

well, not for very long........Mommy and Uncle David had to do the holding.

Mason thought this was pretty fun!

Checking out the elephants!

Wash Park

At least once a week I like to take a walk around Wash Park with Mason and then stop at the playground so he can play. It amazes me how he can climb all over everything and go down the slide all by himself. It just goes to show how big he is getting!

When we get to the park he can't wait to go down the slide.

He likes to crawl through the tunnels.

He got a lot of compliments on his shirt at the park!

Here he is chasing a squirrel..............don't think you are going to catch him buddy.

Where did he go?!?!

Big Boys Eat Bananas by Themselves

Mason likes to try and do EVERYTHING on his own and his newest thing to try is eating bananas like mommy and daddy!

What is he thinking about?

While Mason was eating breakfast this morning I look over and this is what I see..............an adorable little boy with his chin resting on his hand looking so deep in thought. I grabbed my camera as fast as I could and snapped a few before he came out of his daze and got back to his breakfast.

Elmo Slippers

Mason got some new Elmo slippers and he was pretty excited when he saw them. He wasn't so sure what to do once I put them on his feet.

Checking out his new Elmo slippers.

What are these funny things on my feet?
Ok Mom, I have had enough of this for today!

Brushing my Teeth

Now that Mason has a ton of teeth we are having him brush at night before he goes to bed. He does it for a while by himself then either Andy or myself take over to make sure the teeth actually get brushed.

Coloring

Mason likes to color and is getting better at actually using the crayons on his paper and not just trying to eat them. He is quite the little artist and is already producing some fridge worthy pictures! :-)
