Zoo Lights

We took Mason to Zoo Lights on Saturday night and got really lucky that it was such a mild evening. He loved looking at the lights (lots of oooohhhhs and aaaaahhhhs coming out of the stroller). We also got to see Santa at the zoo. It wasn't as bad as it could have been but he wasn't really a huge fan on Santa. Better luck next year.

One of the many animals we saw at the zoo.

All bundled up for the night.

Who is this guy and why am I on his lap?

Get me out of here..........

Somebody help me!

As we were leaving the zoo we bought Mason one of the blinky light sabers. He is fascinated by things that blink and let's face it, mom and dad are suckers. He only almost took out a few people on our way out of the zoo.

Choo-Choo

We set up our Christmas tree this weekend which meant we had to set up the train for Mason. He liked the train last year (granted he was only 7 months old) but I have never seen anyone so mesmerized by something that goes around in circles. He learned to use the remote and can make the train go forwards and backwards. Now, if we can only find a way to turn off the train music we would be golden!

Thinking that this thing is familiar and LOVING it.

Daddy showing Mason how to use the remote.

Following the train around with the remote.

Still following the train..........

Getting a closer look with Daddy!

This train is pretty fun!

Looks the same even upside down.

Mason's 1st Trip to Cabo

We had a great trip to Cabo! Mason did a great job on the plane (both ways) and is still a great traveler. He LOVED the pool and beach (but not the ocean so much). Can't wait to take him back!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the trip!

18 Month Stats

Mason went to his new doctor today, who we LOVED by the way! She thought Mason looked great and couldn't believe how big he was (haven't heard that one before). Checking his ears was a little traumatic as well as the shots but he rebounded well and I am sure has forgotten it ever happened.

The only thing she recommended was for us to follow up with a pediatric ENT about his ear tubes and she would also like him to go to the dentist. She said that kids should start going 6 months after their first tooth, and since he has a mouth full of teeth I guess we need to get this kid to the dentist! That should be an interesting visit!

Here are the stats for the big guy:
Weight: 29.5 pounds- 85%
Height: 34.25 inches- 90%
Head: 18.75 inches- 50%

Going to the doctor can really tucker a guy out!

18 Months Old

Amazing how fast a month can go by and we can't believe Mason is 18 months old already. He is saying SO many more new words and has more hair! :-) He blows us away with how smart he is and we feel so lucky to have such a sweet little boy!

He has his 18 month appointment with the pediatrician on Friday so I will update with those stats later........

Should I be worried?

Mason pulled my wallet out of my purse and proceeded to unzip it and pull money out. Should we be worried that he is doing this at 18 months?

Mommy's shoes

Mason tried to put my shoes on his feet so I helped him out a little bit to get them on over his shoes. He did a pretty good job of walking around but he spent most of his time looking down at his feet.
Lord knows it won't be long before his feet are bigger than mine!
