Cabo

We just took our last vacation as a family of 3 before baby boy #2 arrives. We went down to Cabo with the family for 5 days of HOT HOT HOT! We all knew it was going to be hot, but not this HOT! Let me just say it isn't as much fun vacationing when it is 100+ outside and you can't drink beers to stay cool. Oh well, lots of pool time for everyone......especially Mason!

At riding the moving walkway at the airport. Did I mention our first flight left Denver at 6am. So this picture was taken at about 5. He was so excited to go on the airplane he didn't really nap until the first flight was underway.

Exhaustion finally caught up with him on the way to the house in Cabo. What you don't see is the giant sweat mark on my shirt from where he is sleeping. I said it was HOT!

After a good nap he was ready to hit the pool!

Lot of swimming and jumping this week.

There was a bit of a hot tub malfunction and all the water drained out (not that any of us were using it as a hot tub-the heaters were off in both the pool and hot tub and the water was still warm). Mason loved when the hot tub was filling back up.

More jets!

Mason and Mommy before heading out to dinner.

Of course we went to the beach and he couldn't wait to get down to the water. We had to keep a hand on him the entire time because the wavers were pretty strong.

Sandcastles were also in order. As well as collecting shells to put on the top of the castles.

The house had some goggles that Mason used while he was swimming. Apparently he was opening his eyes under the water anyway, with or without goggles.

 Too funny.

 We also swam with turtle.

He had his first rootbeer float......yummy!

 More visits to the ocean!

Thought this one was just too cute!

Didn't want to take the goggles off and just kept playing!

 Hi there!

I put this one in to show what a great tan he has! HA!

He also played dominoes, or Mason's version of dominoes. Which involves making tracks for the trains to go on.

 Very focused.

 Blowing bubbles with Daddy.

Tried for a family pic, not always the easiest thing to get these days.

Day out with Thomas

Mason probably had his most exciting day ever this weekend. We went to
see Thomas at the Colorado Railroad Museum. He was in full Thomas
overload but loved every second!

Standing by the Thomas banner while we were waiting to go in.

Getting his picture taken with Daddy and Thomas!

Watching Thomas come around the tracks of the museum while we waited our turn.

Would have been a cute family pic minus the closed eyes. :-)

Our turn to ride Thomas.......so excited!

First time on a train......probably not his last.

Couldn't keep him in his seat....he wanted to see everything!

Mason and Mommy riding the train!

We visited the petting zoo after our ride was over. Mason was not a big fan. HA!

Pretty much held onto my leg while Daddy fed the goats.

Riding the big bus back to the car when we were all done. He liked that a lot too.

We put together our new Thomas puzzle when we got home. Such a fun day!!!

Gymnastics

Mason has been going to gymnastics every Wednesday for the past couple of weeks and he is loving it. He doesn't stop moving the entire time we are there and definitely shows us his strength on a lot of things he does. This has been perfect for a boy with LOTS of energy!

Swimming

Mason had fun swimming with Daddy and Uncle David this weekend! He practiced his back float, swam around on a noodle, and of course got tossed around a bit!

Mason really impressed us this weekend with his swimming skills. He is trying to use his arms more and come up for air after he jumps in. He will be swimming on his own in no time!

After he was done jumping he wanted to warm up in the hot tub.......just like his daddy!

Mini-Golf

We tried to play miniature golf this weekend thinking Mason would like having a club his size. Well, he still just tried to whack it as hard as he could with one hand. HA! Daddy tried to show him how to use two hands on the club but he just took off running after his ball to hit it again. He also felt it was his duty to hit any ball that was on the hole-even if it wasn't his. Baby steps........
