Heritage Square

Andy and I haven't been to Heritage Square since we were in high school. And the only reason we went then was because we had friends working there who let us do bungee jumping for free. HA
Friends told us they took their kids there and they loved the kiddie rides and after a little research found out Cooper would be tall enough so we gave it a shot. Mason had a blast! Cooper was a little hesitant at first but was overall fine if he was next to me. He was barely tall enough to ride the rides and had to be with an adult for most of them (and by default that was me because Andy was too big for most rides-lucky him). I will say, I didn't mind most rides, but the tilt-a-whirl really sent me for a literal loop. I felt yucky the rest of the day. Be glad we don't have a picture of that!

Getting ready for the alpine slide!

And of course we had to ride the train. ;)

Vacation Bible School

Mason had vacation bible school last week and I was lucky enough to get to teach his class with 10 other pre schoolers. Cooper spent one day with grandma and grandpa then the other days playing in the nursery with a few other kids. They both had a blast!

Baby Bunny

When we were working outside a few weekends ago, Mason found this little guy in the garden. Needless to say, he was terrified and couldn't hop away fast enough!

Big Boy Bed

We finally pulled the trigger and moved Cooper into his big boy bed. The first night was a little rough but things have gotten much better. Poor guy fell out of bed twice even though we had pool noodles under the sheets and pillows all around him. The next morning I booked it down to Babies R Us and bought bed rails to prevent anymore falls! He is a maniac when he sleeps (as you will see from some of these pictures)! He has been napping great and sleeping in a little more. I think he enjoys the extra room to stretch out!

My Little Golfer

Mason has been very interested in going to the club to "hit balls". My dad has taken him a couple of times and he has done pretty well. When I told him it was time to go, he got his clubs and headed outside to wait for Grampy.

Dominican Republic

Soon after Mason was all graduated from pre-k, we packed up and headed to the Dominican Republic for a week with Grandma and Grandpa. We got off to a rocky start when our flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on a red-eye that left Denver at 1am. Yes, 1am with 5 year old and 2.5 year old. I will spare you all the screaming details (because there definitely was screaming) and just say Mason did AWESOME and Cooper not so much. HA! We were happy when we arrived and ready to start our vacation!
The only other bummer on the trip is my nice camera battery died (that has never happened on a trip) so pretty much all of my pictures are from my phone. Still got a lot of good ones but I was pretty bummed.
Such a big boy pulling his own backpack!
Can you tell it is 12:30 and he should be sleeping? Nope, he didn't think so either.
Withe Mason all we had to do was say it is time to go to bed and he turned off his ipad and somehow slept through his brother's screaming!
We had 4 hours in Charlotte so there was a lot of time to sit (because we hadn't already done enough of that).
And get a nap (if you are Daddy) because nobody got sleep on that first flight! ;)
This little stinker fell asleep with 45 min left in the flight and LUCKILY continued to sleep in the stroller during our layover in Charlotte.
So happy to be at our hotel and on the way to the room. Mason was excited to ride in a golf cart!
And Cooper passed out.......again!

Mr. Cool with his drink and sunglasses (and blankee too)!

The impossible family photo......
When you golf in the Dominican Republic, be prepared for it to be HOT and HUMID. The course we played gave us 4 beers and we happened to bring 4 of our own from the hotel too. So by the time golf was done we had a nice beer can pyramid going in the cart! ;)
We traveled on my birthday and our family concierge decorated our room the day after we arrived. The boys loved it!

The beach was so beautiful. Mason kept saying the sand felt like powdered sugar!
Pina colada time
Cooper felt it was necessary to wear his goggle on the beach.
And while lounging with a beverage!
The best was when they got one in a pineapple!

The ocean was so warm!

They were fish in the pool!
Daddy and Grandpa went sailing one day and Mason went with the next day.

Mason got to help cook at dinner one night!

On our last night there the boys had a balloon bubble bath. So much fun!
Veggin out before dinner!

This place had the BEST kids pool! Perfect depth for Cooper and so many water slides!

Cooper even got in on the water slide action!

Headed home and enjoying the music while we waited to board the airplane! It was an awesome week!
