A Trip to the Playground

We have had really mild weather lately and took Mason to the playground one afternoon. As you can see from the pictures he had a lot of fun. He didn't stop moving the entire time we were there!

He learned how to go down the slide backwards. He thought this was pretty fun.

On the swings like a big boy! Unfortunately, he took a spill off the swing soon after this picture and our playground experience was over. :-(

Arizona

We took a trip this past week to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Arizona. We were excited to head to some warmer weather and to get in some golf. Mason had such a great time swimming and visiting with his Grandma and Grandpa. He also got to play with his buddy Owen (who he hadn't seen since he was 6 months old). We had a great trip and are already missing the warm weather!

Who is my Daddy? The boys got a bit confused by who was Daddy............they do look a lot alike!

They were naked.........good thing we put diapers on them before they got on the bike!

Who knew eating yogurt could be so funny?!?! Well, everything is funny when you have a room full of adults cheering for you every time you take a bite. The things we do to get our kids to eat dinner.

This killed me.......beautiful day............at the pool..........and the boys only wanted to play on our iphones. GEEZE! I probably would have put up more of a fight but I was enjoying the sun too much! ;-)

22 Months Old

Very hard to believe we are 2 months away from Mason turning 2. Where have the past 2 years gone? He is talking up a storm and still shows us how smart he is everyday! His new favorite thing to say is "ouchie" anytime he bumps anything. He is also going through a clingy stage with mommy. I can't walk out of the room without him freaking out and running after me saying "mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy". Cute at first, but I am hoping he gets over this soon. :-)

1st Ride on the Chair Lift

While in the mountains this weekend we decided to take Mason up the lift to meet all the skiers for lunch. I was VERY nervous about this at first. Could his but slip through the back of the chair? Would he be too wiggly? Would it be too cold for him on the lift? Well the answer was NO,NO, and NO. Andy met us at the bottom of the hill for Mason's first lift ride and once we got on he did not move a muscle. He was mesmerized. The only peep he made was to say "whee" a few times. Daddy had to cover his face because the sun was pretty bright but I couldn't even get him to turn his head to look at me for a picture. :-)

Now, the ride down was a different story. He SCREAMED the entire way. The wind was blowing and it was VERY cold. His poor eyes were watering from the wind and the tears. He also kept trying to climb into my lap which is a big NO, NO! He has to sit in his own seat on the lift (no mom's lap allowed). It took all I had to keep him from wiggling off the seat. YIKES! Hopefully next time won't be so cold and breezy.

Here we are at the top of the mountain for lunch. Eating outside was a bit of a challenge because his hands were getting cold without his mittens on.

More Skiing

We were in Beaver Creek this past weekend and put Mason on skis again. He is getting better at balancing and walking in his skis. He will be cruising down the slopes this time next year! ;-)

21 Months Old

Getting his pictures were not as easy this month as they have been in the past. He was much more interested in his Sesame Street book and got really mad at me when I tried to take it away to get a picture. I at least got 1 with a semi-smile!

Mason's First Time on Skis

Skiing

Now that we have lots of snow in the back yard (and it was warm enough to be outside) we thought it would be fun to try out Mason's skis. He is going to love learning how to ski. The faster Andy took him the harder he laughed. He tried walking in the skis and did a pretty good job but he didn't like it when he would fall down. :-(

Hopefully the next time we are in the mountains we can try again at the base of the slopes!
