Pre-K Graduation

Hard to believe Mason graduated from pre-k. I think it is more hard to believe he is headed to kindergarten. His school did such a nice job at graduation and put on a nice program.

He was so excited to graduate so he can go to kindergarten!

He sat like this for maybe 5 minutes. HA

Surprise, Cooper ended up on the floor…….shocker.

For Mason's birthday Uncle David and Cliff got him a new bunk bed! We knew we needed to get a new bed soon because Cooper was going to move to a big boy bed in a month after our vacation. Mason had been asking for bunk beds for a while and we thought this would be a fun gift for him. He was so beyond excited when his new bed arrived. He is allowed to "rest" in the top bunk and sleep up there on special occasions. Otherwise he is on the bottom during bedtime.

Cooper was pretty excited too about the new arrival!

He told me he needed to go upstairs and get "stuff" for his new desk.

"Mom, I am busy doing my work"

For a month, Cooper had a lot of furniture in his room. We weren't ready to move him to the big boy bed but it had to be moved in there when the bunk beds arrived. Now the crib and baby dresser are gone and he is settled into his big boy bed. That post is coming soon……...

This is what his room looks like after I rearranged a few things and we added a train table for him to play with during his quiet time.

Mother's Day Snow

Yep, that isn't a typo. While Mason was singing away in church, it was dumping snow. Over 2 days we got close to 2 feet of snow. I spent the entire day on the couch (which wasn't all bad, but kinda boring) because there wasn't really anything else to do except make a fire and watch it dump!

This is the next morning on the way to school. Nasty roads and major traffic jams because cars couldn't get up the hill and were in the ditch.

Mason had fun though! ;)

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day Mason sang in big church for the first time. They did a great job and there really is nothing cuter than little people singing in church! :)

5 Year Well Child Check

I don't think I will ever learn to not take both kids to the doctor if I can help it. It is like herding cats…….they go crazy there for some reason. Even the iPads weren't working! Anyway, Mason is growing like a weed and as big as every. He was 55lbs and 47.5". Still off the charts for his height and weight. The pediatrician said he is the average height of a 7 year old……YIKES!

Cooper thought it was his job to climb up and down off the table over and over again.

And ripping the paper and throwing it on the ground. AWESOME!

Birthday Train Ride

On Mason's actual birthday we took a family ride on the light rail. We headed down town and rode the mall bus and had lunch. It was such a fun day for Mason and Grandma!

Mason's Birthday Party

All Mason wanted for his birthday this year was to have a bouncy castle at his party. Easy enough! He invited his friends from soccer and a few friends from school and they had a blast. We lucked out and had awesome weather and everyone had a great time.

Cooper and I were on balloon patrol in the morning. Have I mentioned I HATE balloons and this car ride was my personal nightmare. Cooper on the other hand had a blast pulling on the balloons the entire way home.
